A very exciting feature for Oracle Cloud EPM is being released in the June 23.06 update: Pipeline in Data Integration. I spent a little bit of time reviewing the release notes and going through the documentation, but I haven’t had a chance to try it out. I will be doing that as soon as I have the time and posting about it. For now, here’s the basics.
From Data Integration, a process can be setup with multiple stages to execute across multiple target applications. These stages can include jobs with integrations, business rules and rulesets, and other tasks. For those that have used tools like OneCloud and SnapLogic, this seems to be Oracle’s built in version. This is a really big deal. I expect that as Pipeline matures and has functionality added, it can replace many needs for any outside integration process tools.
Setting up and running a Pipeline process looks pretty straightforward. It is managed from Data Integration home page.

I am hoping to be able to dig deep into this functionality very soon and share what I learn. But I couldn’t wait to post something about it because it really does look like a great new feature.
As always, happy EPM’ng!
