EPM Groovy Script Validator

Update September 25, 2025: The Groovy engine update is now planned for December 2025 release.

As mentioned in my September EPM updates, the Groovy engine in EPM is being updated in November, 2025. To prepare for that, Oracle released the Groovy Script Validator. It is important that for any environment with custom Groovy scripts, this validator should be run. If you have scripts that are identified with issues, correct them soon to avoid problems when the engine is updated in November. It is a straightforward process to run the validator, let’s go through the steps.

From the home page, go to Application > Overview.

Select Groovy Script Validator from the Actions menu. Note: The Groovy Script Validator is only available if your application has custom Groovy scripts.

A confirmation message will display that the job has been submitted.

Go to the Jobs page.

Open the job to download the Groovy Script Validator Report. The report can also be downloaded from the Inbox/Outbox Explorer.

If you have any Groovy scripts that do not meet the requirements of the new engine, they will be listed in the validation report.

Once you have updated your scripts, rerun the validator to ensure the problems have been resolved.
