PCF Opening Balance Issue

Welcome to 2026! I hope everyone is getting off to a great start in the new year. One of my clients for EPM Predictive Cash Forecasting reached out to me with an issue they just encountered. They had already contacted Oracle and it was determined to be a bug.

The short story is that when the year changed from 2025 to 2026, the opening balance for January 1, 2025, changed and is no longer accurate. Let me repeat that, when the system date changed to 2026, the prior year opening balance changed. It appears the 12/31/2024 closing balance did not carry over to 1/1/2025. Obviously, that should not have happened, thus the bug.

If you are using PCF, check your opening balances for both 2026 and 2025. If they are not correct, open an SR with Oracle so they are aware of it and you can get the fix as soon as it is available. They may also have workaround suggestions.

I wish I had more information to share, but that is all I have at the moment.
