EPM Updates Delayed Until April 2026

This is not what I wanted to be posting about, but here it is. Oracle is further delaying EPM updates until April 2026 (26.04). They had previously planned to resume monthly updates in February 2026. While it is disappointing that we have to wait even longer for updates, I applaud Oracle for taking this cautious approach to ensure that when updates resume everything goes smoothly.

You may be wondering what caused the delays in the first place. The 25.11 update to test environments had a variety of customers reporting issues related to calculation accuracy and system slowness. This update included upgrading environments to Essbase 21c. The decision was made at that time to not roll out the 25.11 update to production environments. Additionally, to avoid any possible disruptions for clients during critical year-end processes, Oracle decided to skip December and January updates and resume in February.

Since the reported issues with 25.11 were related to the Essbase 21c upgrade, Narrative Reporting, Account Reconciliation, and Enterprise Data Management are unaffected. The other business processes (Consolidations, Planning, PCM, and Tax) could be affected depending on your configuration and any customizations in place. We recommend you thoroughly assess these applications, and if you do not have any issues, you can request that Oracle update your production environments to 25.11. This is suggested so you can keep your test and production environments on the same version during this prolonged delay in the monthly update schedule.

More information about this latest delay, the reasoning behind it, and instructions to move production to 25.11 (or revert test back to 25.10) can be found here.

As always, happy EPM’ng!
